Westenhanger Castle, Hythe
The Castle Westenhanger is a stunning wedding venue in the village of Westenhanger, combining historical charm with modern amenities. The venue, which boasts a Grade I listed Manor House, is steeped in history, having ties to royal figures such as Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth I. Its picturesque grounds offer three distinct ceremony locations: a thatched gazebo, a grand banqueting hall, and a spacious marquee, allowing for both intimate and large weddings.
The castle’s in-house chefs work with couples to create a customised wedding feast, served in a marquee that overlooks the castle. The venue’s lush gardens, the medieval dovecote, and the iconic Rosamond’s Tower provide beautiful opportunities for photographs. The confetti walk outside the front of the house is one of my favourite locations.
Couples also benefit from the expertise of a dedicated wedding coordinator, part of the highly-regarded Glow Events team. With its rich history and modern conveniences, The Castle at Westenhanger offers a truly magical wedding experience. I have photographed a number of weddings at Westenhanger Castle over the last few years and below are a few of my favourite recent shots.
